Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO) at the Hammersmith Apollo - absolutely fantastic

Hammersmith Apollo

Trans-Siberian Orchestra. A relatively recent discovery after meeting Jon Oliva, courtesy of times spent hanging out with my good friend Jon Patrick, aka Twang. The result was I did some research into his work and discovered Savatage and TSO. (Redundancy and long-term unemployment surely sucked, but still I miss those days when I had the freedom in between job-hunting to spend at least some of the time in a radio studio co-hosting, meeting interesting people, discovering new music, and generally being "in the loop".)

As a side-note, the venue itself - now properly known as the Eventim Apollo - is notable in rock music history formerly as the Hammersmith Odeon, and as host to the likes of Hawkwind, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper and many others.
