Having stopped following these sporadic articles some many moons ago, Technorati have now decided that my once perfectly adequate account details and description are - despite being 100% accurate - no longer adequate. Yet another commercial enterprise having gained some dominance in their field, setting themselves up as judge and jury over public internet content.
Technorarse-from-their-elbows
I will grant that this slightly bloggish passtime of soap-boxing and self-aggrandisement was initially sporadic at best, and pretty much died for most of the time since that I have had the benefit of gainful employment. Initially Technorati - one of the many enterprises attempting to make a go of commercial enterprise in the nascent blogosphere - deigned to follow my output, but at some point they stopped, presumably when it hit a long hiatus. Now that I'm back to writing (at least a little), I thought I would re"claim" the blog (in their eyes) but it seems that my description is no longer sufficent to their standards. Yet another company, having been around a while trying to impose its own ideas of quality upon the virtual world around it. It seems that unsatisfied with merely cataloguing blogs, they now want to source them, and pass judgement on those not their own.
Thanks. I'll pass.
